Squiddle has been developed as the voice for young people by looked after children and professionals who support them to achieve their academic goals. The secure young persons platform can be accessed by both the young person and supporting teachers to allow them to communicate with each other about daily or weekly performance, issues, worries or concerns.

Squiddle enables young people to embrace and celebrate their academic achievements, success stories, and educational progress, enhancing self-confidence and motivation. Squiddle provides a clear channel for the young person to communicate with the teacher and supporting social worker to help them understand their needs and to share their daily, weekly experiences.

The Squiddle interface can be customised by the young person to best represent individuality, culture, or even mood. Young people using Squiddle will be able to self-time manage their daily events from within their electroinc timetable and educational calendar. Teachers and social workers are able to post feedback and deliver events into the Squiddle via (ePEP) (IMS) virtual school platform.

Squiddle also empowers the young person by highlighting positive outcomes, experiences and educational achievements by displaying there full chronological history within there own Squiddle interactive timeline. The timeline also enables young people to quickly find important information and helps them review past performance.

Access into Squiddle is controlled by the Virtual School with individual permission and editing rights. This ensures that the child’s voice is confidential, and can only be accessed by professionals.
